Our monthly matches are held at the PSC Range on FM528 on the fourth Saturday of each month. If the match is cancelled for any reason, time permitting, a notice will be posted on two different forums; 1) TexasCHLforum.com in the Competitive Shooting Section; and 2) on TexasIDPA.com forum in the PSC-IDPA sub-forum. We hate to cancel a match and do so only when it cannot be avoided. The few cancellations we have had were primarily weather related, and we make that call as late as possible. That is the reason match status reports are posted on two above-referenced Internet forums; there rarely is sufficient time for me to create the notice then upload the information to this website. The only time a notice would not be posted is when weather forces a match cancellation after we are at the range setting up the scenarios. Hopefully later this year we will have Internet access from the range and we will be able to post notices closer to match starting time, but many people may be on the road by that time. In our on-going effort to effectively communicate match cancellation notices to our competitors and minimize any inconvenience, we are expanding the PSC-IDPA Email List to include cell phone text messaging and PDA email addresses. If you would like to have your cell phone or PDA email address added to the Email List, send me an email giving me the full email address. (Your cell phone number alone is not enough. If you already have your email forwarded to your phone or PDA, then you do not need to give us your additional email addresses.) When we get Internet access at the range, this will come in handy. Until then, I don't mind people calling me on my cell phone to verify match status, if there is no cancellation posted and the weather is questionable. Send me an email if you would like to have my cell phone number.
