Match Report

Well, the weather forecast called for a 10% chance of scattered showers on Saturday and that's just about what we got; showers for about 10% of the match.  Oh well, from reports Steve Vandermolen gave me about their drive back to Conroe, we got off very light.  Reports from the Dallas area indicate their matches were rained out, so apparently it wasn't just a local weather system that brought us the rain.

We want to thank Jason Hall and Eric Achord for doing most of the Friday evening set-up for the match.  As noted in last month's Match Report, Tim Fisher is our new Range Master and he created our scenarios again this month. Tim also helped with Friday set-up.  Thanks also to our SO's for this month:  Dave Rosetty, Garry Newton, Steve and Donna Vandermolen, David Gleason, Danny Stowers and Dave Eickhoff. As always, we appreciate all of the folks that help us break down the bays and put up the equipment.

The TexasCHLforum.com buttons handed out at the match were courtesy of Skiprr.  They look great and I certainly appreciate the fact that he thinks enough of our on-line community to go to the trouble and expense of having those buttons made from his artwork.  Thanks Skiprr!! We will have them at the range each match until they run out, so let us know at sign-in if you want one.

I just got a new camera and I took a few photos trying to learn how to fly this thing.  Thank goodness it has an "auto" setting just for us camera-challenged gray-haired old guys.  I've uploaded some of the photos, mainly as a test.  I hope to be taking more match photos in the future and getting back to a little story telling in Match Reports.  With Ed Burdzinski kindly doing most of the scoring now, this should let me get into the bays and report on the bloopers, so be ready folks, you may be on no-so-candid-camera in the very near future!

Many of our regular shooters are competing in the 2007 Texas State IDPA Championship next weekend and we at PSC-IDPA wish you be best of luck in the match and we pray for a safe and enjoyable trip.

Thanks for a fun and safe match and we hope to see you back for the June match

Regards,
Chas.
