Match ReportAgain this month, I want to thank Jason Hall and Eric Achord for doing the Friday evening set-up for the match. These two guys are life-savers and without them we would not have the matches we are able to bring you folks. Be sure to thank them the next time you see them, or run into them on TexasCHLforum.com. Tim Fisher, our Range Master, created the scenarios again this month and as always, he brought us a fun and challenging match. I can assure you, there wasn't a single shot in the match that Tim didn't analyze in detail! Thanks also to our SO's for this month: Garry Newton, David Gleason, Danny Stowers, Dave Cochran and Dave Eickhoff. As always, we appreciate all of the folks that help us break down the bays and put up the equipment. We had a good number of folks from TexasCHLforum.com join us this month and they shot as an informal squad. It was great to see these people we know only from the forum and we hope you come back again. It was a long drive for some and we thank you for coming. We're running low of TexasCHLforum buttons Skiprr had made for us, so be sure you get one soon. We will have them at the range each match until they run out, so let us know at sign-in if you want one. Any many of you know, PSC upgraded the electrical service to the pistol bays and this was our third month in a row to be without power to run our computer, a/c, battery chargers, etc. Well, the work should be completed in just a few days, so next month we'll be back to scoring during the match. We will also be able to use our Allen Actuators and perhaps the Bob & Duck target systems. I'm sure Tim will put these systems to good use! As is becoming SOP for us, we had a lot of new shooters and we thank you for coming! Gordon Carroll and Steve Vandermolen did an orientation for both the new shooters and the TexasCHLforum "squad" and I know their efforts were appreciated by those who joined their "squad." Thanks guys, your dedication to making new shooters feel welcome and comfortable is why we are continuing to grow. We desperately need SO's for all remaining matches this year!! Please send me an email if you can help us and feel free to sign up for as many months as you wish. (How's that for being generous?) Seriously folks, we have a dedicated but all to small crew of SO's who are carrying the load for all of us. We need to give these people a break, so please volunteer. If you want to help and aren't a Certified SO, send me an email and we'll let you serve as a Scorer to learn the ropes until you can attend an SO school. Thanks for a fun and safe match and we hope to see you back for the July match. Be sure to bring your jackets thought, I predict it's going to be a little chilly. Remember, the July match will have a Classifier, so send me an email if you want one of the eight (8) slots. Regards,
