Match ReportWell, I had to be in my office this morning and wasn't at the match. Thanks to Marc and everyone who jumped in to help him in my absence. Marc is nuring a really bad foot now and working the match today was no easy task. A Note from Marc Thanks to everyone for the extra effort in making today's match run. I was hobbled, and once I got parked in the IDPA shack I didn't leave it. I turned it all over to Eric Achord to run. I know he had lots of help. The total effort made the match go very smoothly as far as I could tell. Thanks to Ray Glass, who came out because he had 'recruited' a friend. Ray couldn't shoot himself, but he very willingly took on the task of gathering the first-time shooters (we had 4 or 5, at least) and going over safety and other match guidelines. In addition, he went the extra mile (two?) of taking them as an unofficial squad and shepherding them through their first match. Efforts like that help us attract and keep new shooters, and help keep the sport going. Thanx, Marc We will not have a May match. It is scheduled the weekend before the 2006 Texas State IDPA Championship and we simply can't run two matches back-to-back, especially since one if the State Championship. We will be having a work day at the range, so don't think we're slacking off! |
