Match Report We had 50 shooters and a good number of new folks. We hope you had fun and please come back next month. Tony, be sure to bring those lovely ladies with you next month. I was bragging to Marc about them shooting with us and you made me look bad. That's a terrible thing to do in an election year! We also appreciate Glenn taking care of the "new shooters school." The weather was great, but I was surprised to see it was still so wet from rain several days ago. Oh well, it didn't make too much difference for most of us, but I guess it did for Dave "Mud-Slide" Eickhoff! For those who don't have as much gray hair as I, Dave was instrumental in bringing action pistol shooting to PSC many years ago. At that time, IPSC was the only game in town. We are now shooting these matches largely because Dave helped get a fledgling sport started at PSC. Welcome back Dave! We also want to thank everyone for the help we had completing the set up this morning and then tearing down the bays after the match. Thanks also to our SO's who really make or break any match. Thanks guys & Donna. And here's a plug for the great work Steve and Donna are doing "up north." They have put together a ladies defensive handgun class and I think it will be a success. This was done in large part in response to the kidnapping and murder of 19 year old Megan Holden in Tyler last month. Tragedies like Megan's and the recent Tyler courthouse shootings sure put all of this in perspective. Be ever vigilant, practice - but I pray you never have to fire in fear! And here's to Mark Wilson, a brave man who gave his life saving another, perhaps many others. Classifier next month!! Also, please be sure to keep up with the Texas Legislature!
