Match Report We had 29 shooters for the match and wouldn't you know it, I couldn't be there. I was in Washington D.C. at an NRA Finance Committee meeting, so at least I had a good excuse. I really appreciate Johnny V. serving as Match Director in my absence. We are using the new IDPA scoring software developed by Jane Fleming. It's called ForeScore and it's wonderful! It's the best thing for IDPA since the invention of the timer. We're beta testing it, along with several other folks, and I can strongly recommend it for any IDPA club. The software should be released for sale in January, 2005. Due to the manner in which the new software creates the score page, I have to link to it, instead of including it on this page. This will change in the next few months, when I switch over to new html software. (I'm not looking forward to that at all!) Since I wasn't at the match, I obviously don't have a true match report. However, Marc asked me to pass along his appreciation for all of the help in setting up and breaking down the bays. THANKS!! This is our last match for the year and Christmas is just around the corner. For most folks, this is a time for reflection on the important things in our lives, as it should be. As we are praying for our friends and families, let's remember the men and women who have gone in harm's way to protect our country and our way of life. Remember also the families of those service men and women, especially those who have lost people they love. May we ever remember that freedom isn't free. Only the family of one who has paid for our freedom with their life can appreciate the true cost, so be sure to remember them in your prayers. May the Lord bless you and your family and keep you safe, until we meet again next year. From all of us at PSC-IDPA, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!! |
