IDPA AT PSC SHOOTING CLUB, INC.

PSC Shooting Club, Inc.PSC Shooting Club, Inc. is a private club located in Friendswood, Texas on FM 528. PSC is among the finest private shooting clubs in the country with rifle and pistol ranges, as well as shotgun courses. In addition to the regularly scheduled matches, PSC members can use any of the ranges for practice, at any time during the posted shooting hours. PSC has numerous monthly matches for rifle, shotgun and pistol shooters, including the IDPA match held the fourth Saturday of each month. It is not necessary to become a member of PSC in order to shoot the IDPA matches, but you owe it to yourself to look over the facility before you make a decision. Please review the information in the Schedule section concerning fees, starting times and other helpful information. If you would like more information about IDPA in general, just follow the IDPA link to learn about rules, equipment, course design, sample scenarios, etc. If you have not participated in an IDPA match, please accept this invitation to give it a try at PSC-IDPA. You will find people of all skill levels from Master Class shooters to folks new to shooting. More importantly, you will receive a warm welcome and have a great time. Bring the family too, they are all welcome. We have a growing number of wives, sons and daughters shooting PSC-IDPA matches and we would like to see that number continue to increase. What should I bring to the match? The obvious items are: 1) handgun; 2) holster; 3) ammunition sufficient for the match; 4) at least two magazines, but four would be better; 5) eye protection; and 6) ear protection. These are the bare essentials. Consider the weather in the Texas Gulf Coast and dress accordingly. Sun block, a good hat (caps are okay, but if you have a sombrero, bring it!), plenty of water, a towel and a folding chair may seem like luxuries while you are sitting at your computer reading this, but you'll think they should have been in the essential list after attending one of the summer matches. This is not meant to scare anyone. If you are a "summer person" and enjoy being outside during the hotter months, you will not have a problem, as long as you come prepared. If you have trouble handling the heat, you probably should shoot with us during the fall through spring schedule. Enjoy your stay at the Unofficial PSC-IDPA web page.
