The PSC Workday was cancelled due to rain. Ordinarily, this
would be inconvenient, but not a major problem. This year is
different and the rain-out is a big problem! Our biggest
project this year was digging a ditch (already dug) from the
shop area to the bays and laying new electrical cable and a
water line. The new cable will give us plenty of power to run
anything we want/need in the bays and in the IDPA and IPSC
buildings. (We have been running with very little power and
only one building could be operational at a time.)
The rain-out has us stuck with an open ditch and still more
cable and conduit to be laid into it. Most of the cable is in
place, but not all and the people who did it earlier this week
are not available after today. Since we couldn't get finished
today, the ditch will have to remain open (cutting off the bay
area parking lot) until we can get the rest of the cable and
water line run. We also have to add a 3/4" PVC air line. This
is a major problem!
If anyone is interested in helping finish this project and can
work any day this next week, please send me an email and I'll
give you Roger Smithwick's cell phone number. Roger will
be coordinating any volunteers and will schedule the work. Marc
and I will be working Good Friday so we could use some help
then, if you can't volunteer during the week. Please send me an
email if you can work this Friday.
