Squads are coming to PSC

Starting with the September match, the PSC-IDPA matches will be run with squads

8/25/07 --

We will be using squads for all future matches, beginning with the September, 2007 match.  The monthly PSC-IDPA matches are growing both in the number of shooters and in the complexity of the match props and scenarios.  This is causing the match to start much later, because it's taking the SO's longer to shoot the match first, then open the bays to the shooters.  With squads, the SO's will each have a squad and they will shoot each scenario as the first shooter in their squad.  This will let us get the match going at 9:00 am, instead of 10:30 or later.

We hope to be running five (5) squads which will not only let us start the match much earlier, it will make it run faster overall as well.  However, the number of squads will be depend on the number of SO volunteers we have for any given match.  If we have four
(4) SO's, then we'll have four squads. 

So that's our plan to get the match started much earlier and to make it run faster as well.
